Every decision is an environmental decision. Everything we do has a real world outcome, good or bad, that moves Nature, and humanity, either towards a regenerative (f.k.a. sustainability) state  indefinitely or towards a further collapse of all ecosystems globally, all bio-regions - of the fabric of Nature herself. And, so, humanity's historically, incomprehensibly short reign on Earth will have ended. At the very least, we will have approached extinction. I consider the not-quite-extinction the best case scenario if we fail to simplify and institute a regenerative regime within the next twenty years.

The key to a regenerative future is a universal decision-making process.// If we all work from the same design principles, our communities and bio-regions will all function in harmony; what happens in one part of the world affects what happens somewhere else. If one bio-region does not function properly, all others may be affected. For example, the Amazon is drying out due to human destruction and rising temperatures. It it collapses, we will have large reduction in oxygen in the air and huge changes to rainfall patterns all over the world. Worse, it would mean a significant rise in CO2. If the people in one bio-region are careless and destroy their soils and cannot grow enough food, either there will be war over food or the other bio-regions will have to provide food for that bio-region. Obviously this could lead to a domino effect of soils across bio-regions being depleted.

These are "what if?" scenarios, but the risks are real.
